    In this section, I will be trying to explain everything I can think of regarding
    how the CPR Call Blocker's work and what to expect when they are up and running.

    *CALLER ID IS VITAL AND NEEDED FOR THE CPR CALL BLOCKER TO WORK*

    What type of calls can the CPR Call Blocker block?

    The CPR Call Blocker can block any type of call, whether anonymous or visible
    on the caller ID. Visible numbers are blocked via the BLOCK NOW button or # 2
    buttons from extension DECT handsets. All anonymous type calls with no caller ID
    number shown need to be blocked via certain programming codes that are all listed
    in the user guide manuals. I have attached them below for your reference, also.

    * * 7 # (beep) 7 * # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL WITHHELD/PRIVATE calls
    * * 7 # (beep) * # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL INTERNATIONAL/OUT OF AREA calls
    * * 7 # (beep) 6 * # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL VOIP/IP ROGUE DIALLER calls
    * * 7 # (beep) # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL UNAVAILABLE/UNKNOWN calls
    * * 7 # (beep) 0 # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL '0' DIGIT SPOOF calls
    * * 7 # (beep) 0 0 # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL INTERNATIONAL NUMBERS WITH CALLER ID calls

    What happens when a call comes in and how is it blocked?

    When a call comes in, your phone should ring as normal unless the calling
    number is pre-programmed on the list of 200/5000 blocked numbers stored
    in the unit. If the calling number is on the BLOCK LIST, then the Call Blocker
    will block it before your phone has a chance to ring. If it is not on the BLOCK LIST,
    then the phone will ring as normal after the first suppressed ring so that the caller ID
    can be indentified. Visible numbered calls can be blocked via the BLOCK NOW
    button at any time during a conversation or before answering the phone. Just simply
    press the BLOCK NOW button and the call is instantly terminated and the number is
    instantly added to your BLOCK LIST and cannot call you again unless you remove it.
    The # 2 feature is slightly different. This requires the phone to be answered first
    and then you simply press # then 2 on your phone's keypad and then simply hang up.
    The number isn't always terminated this way, so hang up after pressing the required
    buttons. With this feature, the number has to be visible on the caller ID, also.

    How does the BLOCK LIST button on the v.202/v.5000 work?

    The BLOCK LIST button shows you the entire list of blocked numbers that you
    have added to your blocked list since obtaining the CPR Call Blocker in ascending
    order. Once in the BLOCK LIST menu, you can then use the UP and DOWN
    navigation buttons to scroll up or down the entire list of blocked calls. If you wish
    to then delete ANY of these numbers or types of anonymous calls from the
    BLOCK LIST so that you can be called again, you can by simply pressing DELETE
    on any of the numbers or anonymous type of calls displayed in the list.

    How does the CALL LIST button on the v.202/v.5000 work?

    The CALL LIST button shows you the last 20 numbers that have recently called
    you in ascending order from 01-20. Once in the CALL LIST menu, you can then
    use the UP and DOWN navigation buttons to scroll up or down the entire list of
    recent calls. If you wish to then add ANY of these numbers or types of anonymous
    calls to the BLOCK LIST, you can by simply pressing BLOCK NOW on any of the
    numbers or anonymous type of calls displayed in the list.

    What do the numbers or information on my v.202/v.5000 Call Blocker screen mean?

    *The screen on the Call Blocker should look like this when it is setup for the very first time*

    [IMG]

    (The following image is for illustration purposes only and your call blocker will never look like this)

    [IMG]

    NUMBER OF CALLS BLOCKED = This shows you the total amount of calls added to the BLOCK LIST.

    TYPE OF HIDDEN CALL = These types of calls will flash along with -------------- when any type of anonymous callers try calling you.
    (These calls can only be blocked via their appropriate programming codes in the user guide)

    DELETE = This is used to DELETE numbers or anonymous calls from your BLOCK LIST & CALL LIST.

    BLOCK CALLER = This is used to block any visible calling number. Simply press this and the call is terminated and the number is added to the BLOCK LIST.

    BLOCKED NUMBER COUNTER = This is used to tell you how many times a number has been successfully blocked. In order to view this information,
    you need to scroll through the BLOCK LIST and the number will change for all the different calls added, which means the number in question has been
    blocked successfully that amount of times.

    LCD SCREEN = This shows you the entire display. It is 3 inches wide and doesn't have a backlight.

    BLOCK LIST = This button takes you into your BLOCK LIST menu where ALL of your blocked calls are stored. You can then use the UP or DOWN navigational
    buttons to scroll through the entire list.

    CALL LIST = This button takes you into your CALL LIST menu where the last 20 numbers of your most recent callers are stored. You can then use the UP or DOWN
    navigational buttons to scroll through the entire list.

    If there's anything else I can think of, then I will add them to this thread in due course.

    Hi I'm Ron a new member here . Thanks for all the tech help and for accepting me in the forum. When I spoke to Chris he told me that when you press the block now button it shows successful on the blocker not blocked .Is this correct? I've haven't used the block now button yet.

    Yes, that is correct. The call blocker shows the word SUCCESSFUL when you block a call.
    The animated GIF image below my signature of the pensioner blocking a call shows the word
    BLOCKED but this is for effect.

    I have a question about terminology. Sorry.
    In your original post you had:
    * * 7 # (beep) 6 * # (beep) = BLOCKS ALL VOIP/IP ROGUE DIALLER calls

    I don't want to block legitimate VoIP calls but many of the spammers
    are using SIP maliciously. Can you tell me whether this code blocks
    all VoIP calls or just ones that are malformed ?
